As someone who spends a lot of time outside, I noticed how there is a lack of education and awareness within the outdoor community. Not only is there a lack of resources, but in some cases, there is withholding of information and gatekeeping to keep people away. I found this to be inherently wrong, because no one group of people should feel entitled to the enjoyment of natural land. This is a resource that everyone should be able to freely enjoy.
The overarching goal of Rambler Journal is simple: instill a love of the outdoors in as many people as possible.
There was an extensive amount of research that went into this publication. Interviews were conducted with both a professional outdoor photographer and an outdoor sales associate to gain accurate insight on needs that they saw should be met. Constant revisions were suggested by peers over a ten week period.
